On 16 July, 2019 a six-strong delegation from Washington University in St. Louis, led by its current provost, Prof. Holden Thorpe, visited IDC Herzliya. As one of our strongest partners in the USA, this is the second senior delegation to visit us in 2019.
In January 2019, and as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, IDC Herzliya conferred upon Prof. Mark S. Wrighton, the 14th Chancellor of Washington University in St. Louis, the degree of Doctor honoris causa, in recognition of his tremendous long-standing contribution to academia, science and service.
Such recognition is a testament to the paramount partnership that began over a decade ago between both institutions, resulting in numerous forms of collaboration: knowledge sharing; student mobility, the Israel Summer Business Academy (ISBA) – a collaboration between IDC Herzliya and the Olin Business School, faculty exchange, and more.
This week, we welcomed Prof. Holden and senior colleagues (below):
Prof. Holden Thorp, Outgoing Provost
Prof. Kurt T. Dirks, Vice Chancellor for International Affairs
Prof. Aaron Bobick, Dean, McKelvey School of Engineering
Prof. Ohad Kadan, Vice Dean for Education and Globalization, Olin Business School
Prof. Michal Grinstein-Weiss, Associate Dean for Policy Initiatives, Brown School
Together they met with a senior delegation from IDC, led by its provost, Prof. Alex Mintz and discussed new collaborative ventures between both institutions.
We are proud of this collaboration and we look forward to future projects.
