President of IDC Professor Uriel Reichman, and Head of Research and Global Engagement, Dr Eric Zimmerman, recently travelled to India to further expand the collaboration between India and IDC.
The trip was marked by the presence of the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin, who witnessed the signing ceremony of multiple Memoranda of Understanding for academic cooperation with leading institutions, including:
President Reichman and Indian Vice Chancellors discussed IDC’s engagement with India in the areas of sustainability, water management, government, innovation, economics, and more. At present, IDC is working in partnership with numerous Indian institutions to create a sustainable model of cooperation that will benefit academia and industry in both countries for years to come.
To this end, Dr Zimmerman also attended and presented at FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Conference on Higher Education in Delhi. Dr Zimmerman met with senior educators and Indian students who wish to come to IDC for undergraduate or postgraduate study.
This important strategic mission has cemented our relationship with India and created numerous opportunities that will nurture our friendship – 2017 will likely bring new challenges and countless rewards.
