Since its establishment in 1994 by President and Founder Professor Uriel Reichman, IDC Herzliya has played a pivotal role in providing our community with the necessary tools to become responsible leaders, in Israel and abroad. In the past decade Higher Education has experienced a shift from local to global – we now live in an internationalized society that demands an understanding of and ability to work with people from a variety of cultures and societies.
Whilst IDC is heavily committed to continue to nurture and develop our local aspirations, it is also aware of the importance to create an environment that allows for a truly global experience.
IDC Herzliya, through its Office of Research and Global Engagement (RaGE) facilitates international diversity, and fosters global understanding and awareness. Its over-arching purpose is to further embed internationalization across IDC through:
- Building high-quality research and teaching partnerships;
- Enhancing student exchange opportunities;
- Engaging with private industry and governments;
- Working with alumni around the world;
- Attracting talented students and scholars from across the globe;
- Supporting students and faculty in their global engagement.
This blog brings under one roof the many academic and administrative internationalization efforts of IDC Herzliya, through the Office of Research and Global Engagement.
